About
I’m Alex, a product engineer from Cape Town, currently based in Amsterdam.
Most recently, I worked at DeepL, building a writing and translation interface for more than 100 million users.
Earlier:
- I worked at Zappi, a market research platform used by companies like Pepsi to make product and advertising decisions. I built product-led onboarding and discovery features in-platform, and was responsible for the marketing site.
- I founded and sold Cloakist, a no-code SaaS that has been used to customise thousands of pages on Notion, Confluence and other platforms.
- I worked at Stacker, a startup building no-code and AI tools, backed by YC and a16z. I embedded directly with Stacker's first customers as they built on the platform.
In my free time: I boulder, run, read, write, and spend a bit too much time gaming and watching movies.
